About Me
Clinical Training
I received my doctoral degree from The New School, and underwent training in a range of environments — inpatient and outpatient community treatment spaces, counseling centers, and private practice. Throughout my training I got an opportunity to work with many populations and gain expertise in working with mood disorders, severe mental illness, substance use, personality disorders, anxiety, and issues related to gender/health.
Research
Driven by a curiosity in the intersection between gender and mental health, I have been involved in a number of research projects that explore these topics, including self-objectification theory, depression in women, mental health considerations with reproductive technologies, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). I published a portion of my dissertation on PMDD mental health outcomes that you can read here.
